On Inside Out and Toy story 3

We watch animation movies for fun. We seldom take those characters and their plights seriously. Mostly because the target audience are kids,so pain and death and emotional traumas are avoided. All problems are promptly dealt with a fairy tale ending.(Or like Wodehouse ending)..Even with most advanced animation, they can't evoke empathy as human characters do...Or that was what my opinion before watching these two movies.

Toy story 3(2010) and Inside Out(2015)

These movies affected me so much that I was moved to tears in two instances while watching them..
Let us take Toy story 3..The story of Andy's toys and what happened to them after Andy moved to college. Simple enough or silly enough plot line..But the way they executed the movie was such that you would genuinely care for those toys as if they are your kids and would think twice before throwing away a toy..

Andy, the kid who played with toys while he was a kid now growing up..He hardly played with his toys for years now. While packing for college,he only took Woody, the cow boy toy with him. He packed other toys in a trash bag to put them in attic. Andy's mom accidentally took them as trash and threw them away. The toys were hurt and betrayed by Andy and escaped from the trash can to the donation box to a day care centre.

Woody who had seen all the misconceptions, tried to convince them to come back home. But they disbelieved him and went to the Sunny Side Day Care Centre. But later they realized its true nature. The toddlers who had no idea how to play with toys nearly torture the toys. And Lotso, the villain teddy bear, halted their escape with prison type mechanisms. How the toys escape the tyranny forms the climax..

Sounds like a thriller story..ah??The last 1/2 an hour was so entertaining and moving..we can't find another sequel (actually 3rd part),that can outshine the first and second parts.Another classic of Pixar.
These toy characters in the animation movie are more developed than most of the half baked action movies.. Highly recommended.

Fear,Anger,Joy,Sadness,Disgust.

Next comes Inside out. When I was searching for a list of best animation movies to watch,Inside Out was rated as #1 in tomatometer with 100% universal acclaim.. I was intrigued. The movie was unique. It dealt with what was happening inside our head all the time..the joy, sadness, anger, fear, disgust which we all known as emotions had become characters which guide our day today life.

Riley Anderson, whose emotions form the story was moving from her home town to san fransisco at 11..Disasters all the way. Joy who got lost with sadness into the memory dump must find her way back to the headquarters to make Riley happy again.Joy was always skeptical  of Sadness's existence. She must learn her lesson along the way that only happiness doesnt form life but sadness too.

The film is a triumph of imagination. What ever might happen inside our head is a pure joy..how dream works,or how memory fades or how we struck with thinking of gum commercial songs all the day!!!!!
We love our girl Riley..A must watch:-))))
